Finally I found some dubstep for this contest! (NGAUC 2015) I haven't seen dubstep before this entry, and the drop here is awesome. I like the reverb on everything, it gives it a kind of creepy feel. Good job.

Athanatos responds:

That's what I'm good at, making some creepy sounds/songs! I love reverb and I try my hardest to make it fit perfectly. And thank you!

Ever heard of Monstercat? In my opinion, this is as good as, if not better than any or all of their DNB releases. Fantastic song, I love the wobble bass. Good luck in the NGAUC

Waidmann responds:

I appreciate it

Only problem with the song: the hi-hat at around 0:50 hurts my ears, but maybe my headphones are up a little too loud. Oh well.
Everything about this song is where I wish I was at in music production, especially that complextro-esque bass at the beginning. It's something I've been trying to make for a while. Was it massive you made that with? Tell me your secrets plez (not really :P) Epic submission to the NGAUC, and good luck!

D-Chain responds:

i mostly use sylenth for all my synths ;)
and its the ride combined with a hi hat that causes your ears to hurt. i will do something about it ASAP and update the audio. thanks for mentioning!

My only complaint(s): the instruments sound like they're all trying to get into one place, fighting each other for a spot. Drums could be louder, too.
Everything else: Love the synth-y thing put in at about 2:32. Really trying my best to not unplug my headphones and break out the air guitar. Fantastic submission to the NGAUC. There's some awesome competition this year (not compared to last year, as I wasn't here last year) Good luck, and keep on making awesome guitar stuff

rainheart666787 responds:

Thanks for the review! I am still working on my mastering skills so I can definitely agree with you on the mixing parts. Glad you liked it :-) and yes there are some awesome tracks this year!

Best submission I've heard for the NGAUC yet. This is awesome. Love the guitar, love the 8-bit feel, and love the drums (the drums the most, the definitely epic drums...) Hope I'm not overreacting to how good this is, as I wish I was this good at producing. Good luck in the NGAUC!

8-bitheroes responds:

Thanks for the kind words and sharing your opinion, much appreciate :)

The ride in the beginning is a little painful to my ears, but besides that, this is fantastic. Love the drums, I actually have yet to produce a DNB track with drums that complex, I'm jealous :)
I love the wobble bass. Dubstep holds a special place in my heart as the genre that introduced me to electronic music, and wobble basses are part of that special place. Sorry there's not a 4.95 stars bruh.
Good luck in the NGAUC

This is awesome. Just amazing. The over-reverbed (or in my opinion, over-reverbed) piano made me wonder if this was gonna be just another ok song. but then the arpeggio happened, and I wondered no more. Then the sidechain buildup! Then the Bass. I love the bass you used, along with the kick. (I love the kick :P) I don't have anything else to say, besides: Fantastic entry to the NGAUC, and I know you'll do great.

I like the flute that starts at about 1:06. This song is a little too repetitive for my taste (or at least my taste in this kind of music...) This isn't my area of expertise, but I just think it's a little too repetitive for me, and my opinion may seem crazy or it may not. Good luck in the NGAUC.

Libby-Shimmz responds:

Hip Hop is built around repetition, so I get where you're coming from.

Good luck to you as well.

I saw the comment about the kick being discrete, and I agree (for about the first ten seconds of the song.) But, don't think I don't like this, I actually like it a lot, my favorite part being the pluck melody introduced at 0:29 or 0:30. Also, liking the snare rolls, really cool. Good luck in the NGAUC!

Thanks so much, bro!
